If you are in crisis and you feel that you need support urgently then you should do one of the following:
- Talk to an adult, friend or somebody that you trust as soon as you can.

If you are already being seen by CAMHS and it is during office hours (Monday -Friday 9am – 5pm), call your CAMHS worker:
- You can also call NHS Emergency & Urgent Care Services by dialling 111
- If you do not currently have a CAMHS worker, or it is outside of office hours, or if you need urgent medical attention you should attend A&E. When you get to A&E you will be seen by a mental health professional as soon as possible.
If you are already open to CAMHS and have a Crisis Plan, please follow the plan. You should have a written copy of it. If not, contact your case manager and ask for a new copy of the plan.
If you are open to CAMHS and do not have a Crisis Plan, please ring your local CAMHS and ask to speak to your case manager. If he or she is not available, ask to speak to the duty worker.
If you are NOT already open to CAMHS and are feeling suicidal please either go to A&E or access emergency services.

What is #Thrive?
#Thrive is for children and young people aged up to 19 years. You must live, or be registered with a GP practice (doctor), in Heywood, Middleton or Rochdale. #Thrive can also provide advice and support to parents, carers and anyone that works with a child or young person.
Types of support
We have lots of different types of support to help you. We can also offer advice to improve your general lifestyle, including exercise, diet and many other things. We can provide this support in lots of different ways. We will always talk to you about what support will best meet your needs.
We can offer more traditional types of support, such as one-to-one or group counselling sessions, or online courses. We can also signpost and help you access other types of support, such as sport, drama, music or art.
Where is #Thrive based?
Our central hub is called Around the Corner. It is based at 48-50 Drake Street, Rochdale, OL16 1NT.
We hold lots of drop-in sessions here, where you can talk to us about how you are feeling and find out what support we can offer you. Our drop-in sessions are:
Aged 8 to 19 years (if you are under 13 years, please bring a parent or carer with you):
- Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, between 4pm and 8pm (last session at 7.30pm)
Under 8 years:
- Thursdays, between 9.30am and 12pm (last session at 11.30am)
Sessions are allocated on a first come, first served basis.

| Any parent/carer of a neurodiverse child/young person who needs help. Drop in Sessions – What to expect: You will have a consultation with a member of the Neurodiversity Hub. They will discuss your concerns and support available. The sessions are jointly run with the Home-Start RAASS service and so you can chat to the Home-Start staff and other parents and look at resources whilst you wait. You will be offered a drink and a biscuit or breakfast. Advice Lines – What to expect: You will have a consultation with a member of the Neurodiversity Hub. | Riding the Rapids | |
| Riding the Rapids is a free course designed for parents and carers of children and young people aged 3-16 whose needs indicate they are Neurodivergent. The course aims to help parents to understand and support their child’s well-being, and reduce stress, distress and distress-related behaviours or other behaviours of concern. Research shows that parents and carers who attend Riding the Rapids can: · Develop effective strategies to support their children · Increase their coping skills and confidence, reducing stress | If you have any questions, or would like more information on how to book, please contact: The Neurodiversity Hub— hmr-ndhub@nca.nhs.uk Please note this course is for parents and carers only.
