Merry Liftmas
On Wednesday we held our first Bench Press Competition in our newly furnished gym. This was a fully inclusive event with male and female lifters, including both learners and staff taking part. The turnout to watch was fantastic and the atmosphere was amazing.
The event, which included 25 lifters, was co-ordinated by our very own qualified powerlifting coach, Dr Penney. The winners of the various different categories were as follows:
- Best female learner – Batool Jafari
- Best female staff – Ms Fotheringham
- Best overall female – Batool Jafari
- Best male learner – Ali Riaz
- Best male staff – Mr Syed
- Best overall male – Ali Riaz
- Best overall lifter – Ali Riaz.
Well done to all who helped out and to all the lifters who demonstrated high degrees of agency and growth mindset, in taking part. We will definitely be doing this again next year!
