STEM Club and Familiar Faces

STEM Club and Familiar Faces

As part of the Rochdale Sixth Form College Social Development Programme, we were lucky to welcome back two MMHS past learners. The seven-week “Young Leaders in the Community” project encourages the Rochdale College Sixth Formers to engage with local communities and education settings.

Part of the project saw past students, Haseeb and Waqas, work with our STEM Club. The STEM club runs each Wednesday and encourages our learners to explore more about Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths.

“I am really pleased to see the boys back at MMHS. They achieved excellent results in their GCSEs and are an inspiration to our young scientists. The STEM club has been running for two years now, with a steady number of actively engaged students.”

“Each term is dedicated to a topic area and students carry out investigatory, observatory and creative tasks in order to complete each topic. Teamwork is a must and fun incentives are offered to those that uphold the schools CHANGE values.”

“Haseeb and Waqas joining us for this term has been really beneficial to our learners, finding out more about College life and what hard work can achieve!”
