Visit from Copenhagen
Matthew Moss High School learner Abigail wrote about a visit from students, and staff, who came all the way from Copenhagen to visit schools in England.
Recently I was very excited to be picked to show Danish visitors around school. As well as showing them what a school in England looks like, I wanted to show them the environment around Matthew Moss during the school day.
I learnt a lot about Danish culture and schools which I didn’t know before, such as how spending a year in boarding school is very common in Denmark! The learners themselves were all very friendly and easy to talk to. During lessons, they were engaged and they happily spoke to other learners around school.
Overall, the day taught me a lot about how Matthew Moss compares and contrasts with the schools in Denmark but also how we both share the beliefs of individuality and having mutual respect for the people and school around us.
