Vicky Molyneux’s Historic Win In Wigan Warrior’s First Challenge Cup Victory
We are incredibly proud to say that our very own Vicky Molyneux, Wigan Warriors captain and our Performance Faculty Lead, has been crowned 2025 Challenge Cup Champions with her team Wigan Warriors!
Wigan performed brilliantly against rivals St Helens and won the game with an amazing final score of 42-6. They secured a historic first Challenge Cup victory, being crowned champions for the very first time.
Speaking to the press, she said:
We just all worked together, it felt like we were all in sync, and every single person who took to the field left everything out there, we earned it and we deserved it.
Vicky has played with Wigan Warriors since 2019 as well as representing England in international championships. She has captained Wigan since 2024 and was also the first female player to be inducted into the Wigan Warriors hall of fame!
