Trust Book Club
Since January, five Year 7 learners have taken part in the Watergrove Trust Book Club, reading “The Last Bear” by Hannah Gold. Learners have collaborated with primary learners within the Trust, attending online and face to face Book Club meetings. Learners have demonstrated great agency throughout, reading the novel in their own time and making sure they were prepared for each meeting. During the last meeting, learners prepared and delivered a presentation on climate change as this issue features heavily in the novel. As a “thank you”, learners have received a copy of “The Lost Whale” by the same author.
