Our Gym Refurbishment Project: A Big Thank You to the World’s Strongest Man for His Support

Our Gym Refurbishment Project: A Big Thank You to the World’s Strongest Man for His Support

We are thrilled to announce the launch of an exciting gym refurbishment project, led by our very own British Powerlifting Champion and qualified powerlifting coach, Dr. Penney in conjunction with the PE Department.

This initiative will introduce a new range of strength training equipment to enhance our PE curriculum and support extracurricular lifting/fitness clubs — including female-only sessions delivered by an award-winning female coach.

Our goal is to create a high-quality training space that empowers students not only physically, but also mentally, emotionally, socially, and academically.

Research consistently highlights the positive impact of strength training, particularly for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds.

We are incredibly grateful to Eddie Hall, 2017 World’s Strongest Man Eddie Hall and Beast Pharma for their generous donation of lifting equipment, including wrist wraps, lifting belts, resistance bands, and more.

Their support brings us a step closer to realising our vision.

However, we’re not quite there yet. We still need to raise approximately one thousand pounds to purchase other essential items. We warmly welcome support from individuals or organisations who would like to contribute to this meaningful project.

Every donation will help shape a lasting legacy — improving the lives of hundreds of young people for years to come. To learn more or to contribute, please email dpenney@mmhs.co.uk.

Thank you for your support!
