KPMG Numeracy Event at Leeds University
Our Matthew Moss Careers team organised a trip to Leeds University for some of our Year 7 & 8 Learners to be involved in the KPMG National Numeracy Day event.
The day was focused on how maths works in the real world and was introduced by Dr Richard Elwes (Senior Teaching Fellow.) This was followed by a “Big Number Natter” networking session learning how numbers are used in different careers, from accounting to artificial intelligence sports and Medicine. Our learners were then involved in a Hands-on Raspberry Pi programming session led by the Digital Makers team from Leeds University.
The day concluded with a campus tour, taking in the vast arrays of subject opportunities available and understanding more about University Life.
