‘Inclusivity in Sport’ Day

‘Inclusivity in Sport’ Day

We were incredibly proud to host an ‘Inclusivity in Sport’ Day at Matthew Moss to celebrate and raise awareness of inclusivity within sports. Learners from Years 7, 9 and 10 took part in a number of adapted activities including wheelchair rugby league, ultimate frisbee, new age kurling, boccia and golf.

We hugely enjoyed the experience of trying out a number of new and exciting sports, as well as the chance to promote the inclusivity of our school and PE faculty.

We were very lucky to have Pete and Wes from Rochdale Hornets Sporting Foundation with us to lead some fantastic wheelchair rugby sessions for our learners. Thank you to Julie and Emma from School Games for loaning the equipment and allowing our learners to have such an amazing experience.
