Foodie Kitchen Experience
Learners visited the Foodie Kitchen in Rochdale, Seema the head chef at the business taught our learners how to cook some amazing Burmese Chicken Noodles to restaurant standards. We learned the history of the dish as being a mix out South Asia (Indian, Pakistani and Bangladeshi) spices, South East Asian noodles from Thailand/Vietnam and also added spices from East Asia (China).
The learners were taught the skills involved in different cutting/chopping techniques, the importance of different levels of heat on different types of food and also the significance of different types of spices and the methods to add them.
The learners came away with their own meals made to share with family (some were set on not sharing the food at all) and all looking forward to their next session where they get to choose what style of dish they want to chef up next.
It was a great experience for all involved and was made even better by the great people at Foodie Kitchen!
