Extra-Curricular Activities!
It’s been an amazing half-term for us here at Matthew Moss High School. Extra-curricular clubs have been buzzing with activity and fun, providing more for our Learners.
To list just a few of our achievements this half-term:
- A guest speaker presented to our Child Development and Health and Social Care learners
- Our Year 7’s and 9’s got involved with a Theatrical Contemporary Dance Workshop
- Some Year 7’s attended a Determination Festival at the Graystone Centre. This festival was designed for Learners who have struggled to transition from primary school to secondary school and was a wonderful event with a focus on wellbeing.
- Our Year 8’s took part in a Tennis taster session and the Year 7 netball team remain unbeaten. Our Year 8 team is also performing incredibly.
One of our priorities this year has been to give our learners opportunities that they normally would never get. To provide them with the chance to explore different things that they may have never seen or done before. This is what we take much passion in and it is most certainly paying off.
We will continue to provide more for our learners and see what else we can do for them. Next on our agenda is sports journalism/media and we’re looking to offer another new and exciting activity…maybe boxing?!
