Hamza Sultan – Law Degree Apprentice at Kaizen Law Solicitors
We are highlighting the wonderful achievements of Hamza Sultan, a former Matthew Moss learner and current Law Degree Apprentice at Kaizen Law Solicitors.
Life at Matthew Moss
Whilst at Matthew Moss, Hamza benefited hugely from D6 which gave him the opportunity to learn from college students.
D6 was a massive help as I was able to study with college students who were specialised in certain subjects.
He also highlighted his teacher Mr Hartley and his form tutor Mrs Leonard who supported him greatly throughout school. Hamza also noted the support of Mrs Miller who helped him with his English skills.
Mrs Miller helped me a lot with my English skills. At first I struggled, but now I use those skills in my role where I draft legal documents on a daily basis.
Hamza spoke of the sociable environment of Matthew Moss and the support of the PE Department which enabled him to make friends he is still in contact with today.
Life After Matthew Moss
After leaving Matthew Moss in 2020, Hamza went on to study A-Levels in Law, Business and Psychology at Rochdale Sixth Form College. He achieved excellent grades and finished college with three As.
Hamza then embarked on a Paralegal Apprenticeship at Kaizen Law Solicitors which he successfully completed. This allowed him to continue his studies further at the law firm and enrol on the Law Degree Apprenticeship.
Hamza is currently three years into the six-year course which will conclude with him sitting the Solicitor Qualifying Exams (SQE) 1 and 2.
Within his current role, Hamza deals with claims for personal injury slips and negligence claims. He has had the opportunity to have hands-on experience, working alongside barristers and clients at court hearings.
Once Hamza has completed both SQE exams, he will graduate from his Degree Apprenticeship as a fully qualified solicitor!
