#BeeWell Festival Frivolity
Year 8 and 10 learners attended the #BeeWell Festival in Manchester. The festival’s aims are to “celebrate and support young people’s wellbeing” through “a 1-day festival and a week of activities taking place online.”
The festival began with group activities, having students collaborate and engage in word association games, storytelling and Mexican waves with students from other schools; with a focus on “letting go”.
The event was filled with activities ranging from painting/drawing to the more physically engaging; skateboarding, plate spinning, kayaking and archery (thankfully with plastic suckers as arrowheads.) Even Mr. Morley and Miss Buckingham got in on the fun!
There were a couple of stalls set up too, one provided students the opportunity to try a VR headset and another stall that gave out information to support LGBT+ students.
The students had an excellent time and proudly showcased our CHANGE dispositions.
