World of Work Event
Willmott Dixon, a local Construction Company, who have been appointed by Rochdale council for another large regeneration project, which will see more than 200 apartments and a Hilton Hotel in the town centre, came into school to host a “World of Work” day for our Year 8 learners.
Hosted by Rosie McLaren (Social Value Coordinator) along with other Willmott Dixon employees, our learners had the opportunity to explore the different employment skills needed to be successful in the future through practical challenges.
The event was extremely successful with learners thoroughly enjoying themselves. With a promise of work experience to one Year 8 learner as they had impressed Willmott Dixon so much.
