PSCHE Health and First Aid
Learners across the school engaged in PSCHE sessions based around the composure element of our CHANGE values. Paramedics and first aiders came into school to deliver important life saving skills like Hands-only CPR and how to put someone into the recovery position. Rochdale school nurses delivered valuable information about health, such as how best to manage and reduce stress, and how to access services in the local area. In the Science Department, demonstrations were given with water and iodine, to show how STD’s and STI’s spread; and what can be done to prevent them.
