The ability to converse at ease with customers and service users and provide advice in accurate spoken English is an essential requirement of this post.

Grade 6: SCP 26-30 actual salary: £20,653-£23,675 TTO+1 week

Matthew Moss High School is looking for a Level 4 Teaching Assistant to work within our Inclusion Team.

Your role will be to work closely with the Assistant Headteacher in charge of inclusion to:

  • Provide support to identified learners/small groups. Main duties will include delivering lessons, monitoring learners’ participation and progress, providing feedback to teachers and giving constructive support to learners.
  • To mentor learners who require additional support to overcome barriers to learning, including pupil wellbeing within the school.
  • Establish and develop positive relationships with learners and adults including parents, carers and other professionals
  • Source and arrange alternative provision under the direction of the Assistant Headteacher Inclusion.

The successful candidate must have either:

  • Relevant NQF/QCF Level 3 qualification
  • GCSE Maths and English grade A*-C / level 4-9 or a level 2 equivalent
