Moving to Secondary from Primary School
In the Autumn term 2017, parents and carers of children in Year 6 in the Borough’s primary schools should receive a letter reminding them that they now need to apply for a secondary place.
All initial correspondence and any reminders of the deadline for applications will come through the child’s primary school. Parents and carers should, therefore, ensure that the contact details held by the primary school are up-to-date.
In year Transfer between Schools
As our reputation grows, we are increasingly receiving requests from parents and carers who would like their child to transfer to Matthew Moss High from another secondary school. To enable this to happen, you must complete a Within-Year Transfer Application Form and return this to the School Admissions Team at Rochdale Local Authority.
If places are available, children qualifying under the published admissions criteria will be admitted.
If there are more applicants than places available, then the published oversubscription criteria will be applied.
