Matthew Moss is Top of the Crop

Matthew Moss is quite different in that it provides a very clear CHANGE curriculum for personal development, alongside its offer of academic success for young people.

The past weeks have brought strong evidence of our increasing excellence in both.

Our Year 11 achievement in the summer examinations was impressive, with the cohort being awarded more of the top Grade 9s than schools nationally.  They also beat the national average for strong passes (Grade 5 and above) in English and Maths; for attaining grade A or higher in English Language, French, RE, Statistics and Urdu; and for attaining grade C or higher in Art, French, History, RE, Science, Further Additional Science and Statistics.

Grade 9 achievers, Mariam Shahid and Joseph Wilson.

The personal skills exhibited by our Year 10 who recently undertook work experience placements were equally remarkable, with glowing feedback given by the businesses involved.

I would employ them both tomorrow.

I wish we could get supply and agency staff as enthusiastic.

...a credit to the school and a lot better than other schools.

We are absolutely committed to our dual mission at Matthew Moss, as it is critical that young people achieve strong academic results and the skills to make the most of them in the changing world of the 21st century.

There is nothing more satisfying to us than seeing the evidence that we are equipping our students so well for their future.
